Meron bang heaven & hell?
Ayon sa Budismo, meron! Ang kagandahan dito ay hindi ninyo kailangang maghintay na mamatay para maranasan ang heaven o hell. Pwede ninyo itong maranasan dito at ngayon, depende sa inyong mindset at mga ginawa. Ang mga taong mababait at tapat ay may kapayapaang parang nasa heaven na, habang ang mga malulupit ay parang nabubuhay na sa sarili nilang hell.
Para sa mga Secular Buddhist, metaphor lang ang mga ito para sa ating mental states. Pero sa traditional Buddhist, naniniwala sila na totoong mga lugar ito na direktang konektado sa inyong rebirth.
Ang maganda sa Buddhism, hindi permanente ang heaven at hell—walang tinatawag na eternal damnation. Kahit ang pinakamasamang tao sa pinakamalalim na hell ay pwedeng magbago, maubos ang bad karma, at makaalis doon.
Pero ang catch, hindi rin permanent vacation ang heaven. Kahit ang mga heavenly beings ay may expiration date dahil sakop pa rin sila ng cause and effect. Para makawala sa rollercoaster ng rebirth, lahat—mula tao hanggang devas at brahmas—ay kailangang sumunod sa Eightfold Path para maabot ang Nibbana.
Nibbana ang ultimate goal ng mga Buddhist, hindi ang heaven. Nibbana goes beyond heavenly rapture and joy, into the ending of greed, hatred, and delusion—the liberation of the mind from craving and clinging, the Deathless.
